Joining Forces for Economic Growth and Prosperity

The Center for Enterprise Development (CED) is happy to announce a generous donation by the Salesforce Foundation. Over the next year the Salesforce Foundation will provide CED with 10 user licenses to Salesforece.com’s powerful Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. The platform allows CED to improve internal efficiencies by giving us capabilities to work and collaborate using Internet cloud technology.

CED plans to apply the CRM capabilities of Salesforce to improve economic growth and diversity through an increased collaboration with local partner organizations. CED will track clients and projects generated from a number of partners. It is the CED’s plan to use the power of Salesforce for tracking and reporting results to our many stakeholders among the collaborative organizations. Ultimately the beneficiary of the Salesforce Foundation’s donation will be the Fond du Lac County entrepreneurs and small businesses looking for resources or guidance.
The Center for Enterprise Development was formed in 1994 by the Board of Directors of the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC). CED is a 501(c)(3) corporation with a three-fold purpose: 1) Promote economic growth and diversity by assisting entrepreneurs; 2) Encourage minority and women owned businesses; and 3) Collaborate to create employment opportunities for the underserved populations within the FDL communities and assist displaced workers find alternatives to traditional employment.

Salesforce Foundation is based on a simple idea: Leverage salesforce.com’s people, technology and resources to build collective knowledge and enable action to improve communities throughout the world.

Salesforce.com, an enterprise cloud computing company, provides Customer Relationship Management solutions on a subscription basis. Salesforce was founded in 1999 by former Oracle executive Marc Benioff, and went public in June 2004. Known as the 1/1/1 model, Mr. Benioff’s simple vision for the Foundation was to donate 1% of salesforce.com equity, 1% of the employees’ time, and 1% of products to improving communities around the world.
