Entrepreneurial ServicesFrom the spark of a fresh idea to the ribbon-cutting ceremony on your first day of business -- there are seemingly endless steps to get from point A to point B. FCEDC staff, along with our many partners in the field of entrepreneurial development, are ready to assist you in determining when the time is right to turn your idea into reality...and what you need to get there.
The Myth About Grants Looking for some grant money to assist you with your entrepreneurial endeavor? Unfortunately (and contrary to popular belief), there are very few grants available. The few grants that are available are generally focused on business plan assistance or workforce training. We’re not saying that there is absolutely no grant funding available. The grants that may be available tend to be very specialized and may not be a standard program that is available to everyone. Rather than spend your valuable time and money on the various (and sometimes fraudulent) opportunities advertised, we suggest you take a look at www.grants.gov for opportunities that may be available to you. FCEDC will be able to assist you in determining what is available to you as you move forward with your entrepreneurial venture. |
