04.03.08 Plans for Upscale Resort Announced

Zabel Holdings, LLC today announced that the company will be developing a new full service resort and conference center on the shores of Lake Winnebago in North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Alex Zabel, Wisconsin real estate broker and developer, has brought his vision for the upscale resort to this exceptional parcel of land.

Positioned for the upscale market, upon completion this unique property will provide over 184+ guest rooms and suites, as well as a concept restaurant, lounge and over 20,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. Major amenities will also include indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and fitness center, and a boat marina complete with private and public slips.

8.8.07 FCEDC Awarded Reaccreditation

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has announced that the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) has again been recognized as one of 27 economic development organizations accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO). Originally accredited in February of 2001, the organization was reaccredited by IEDC following another three successful years of activity as an AEDO member.

5.16.07 Marchant Schmidt wins Governor's Export Award

Marchant Schmidt, Inc., received a Governor’s Export Achievement Award on May 16th at the 42nd annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee. Governor Jim Doyle congratulated the six recipients of the awards, recognizing Marchant Schmidt and the other winners for achieving extraordinary results in international sales and helping move Wisconsin forward in the global marketplace.
