It's not too late - Global Speaker Series comes to OshkoshThe Highway 41 International Development Consortium will hold its Global Speaker Series on February 21, 2006 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh. The Series will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and cost is $30 for members and non-members.
Guest speaker will be Mr. Patrick Bartling of Phillips Lighting Co. with the main focus of the series on global supply chain management. A discussion will take place on what globalization means to companies, with detailed reviews of subcontracting versus outsourcing and its advantages. Reviewing the outsourcing value proposition, the session will also look at the total cost model of certain actions while reviewing the emerging global market and economic trends.

FCEDC Project UpdatesBrenner Tank, 450 Arlington Avenue in Fond du Lac, recently held an open house at their new office building facility. The $1.4 million building project centers on a 9,200 square foot building that will be the home to the company's administrative staff in various departments. Twenty new positions are expected to be added because of the project.
Pizza Ranch of Waupun plans to open its doors in mid-to-late March. The restaurant, at 900 W. Main Street, will employ 52 full and part-time employees and house four community rooms that can be used for business meetings or large party gatherings. |
