 The Changing Face of Success: There is still time to registerSpace is quickly filling but there is still time to register for “The Changing Face of Success: Helping You Get the Upper Hand.” This event will help participants uncover how other area organizations are being proactive about the ever-increasing diverse marketplace; formulate specific, local action steps to attract the diverse talent needed to succeed; and receive tools for turning all of the above into a unique plan that will be of direct benefit to their specific organization.
Highly encouraged to attend this event are CEO’s, executive directors and human resource directors. The program will take place from 7:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7th at UW-Fond du Lac. A continental breakfast will be provided.
Heidi Moore, Diversity Consultant for Northwestern Mutual, will present relevant specifics on changing demographics affecting the workplace, resulting impact on organizations; approaches for maximizing this opportunity; best practices for attracting talent via diversity; and what is in an organization’s tool chest of strategies.

Entries sought for Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan CompetitionEntrepreneurs are encouraged to enter the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Competition for their chance to win a portion of the $25,000 in total cash prizes being awarded.
The goal of the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Competition is to encourage the preparation of business plans for start-up businesses, making significant changes to existing businesses or launching new products in northeast Wisconsin. A total of $25,000 in prizes will be awarded with a top prize of $10,000. Second place will receive $6,000; third will receive $4,000; fourth will receive $3,000; and fifth will receive $2,000. Contestants can begin submitting entries on December 1, 2007. Entry deadline is January 11, 2008, at 5 p.m.
