Event takes County diversity initiative to the next level While the registration deadline has passed for the upcoming Choose to Do event, there is still time to reserve a spot. The event is free, but registration is required by calling (920) 929-3170 or by visiting http://www.fdl.uwc.edu/ce/.
The program, sponsored by the Comprehensive Countywide Diversity Initiative, will take place from 7:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 21st at Moraine Park Technical College’s Fond du Lac Campus. A continental breakfast will be provided.
A flyer about the event and an invitation from Allen Buechel, Fond du Lac County Executive, are available at the links to your right.
Participants will experience a unique, trade-show atmosphere designed to help them interactively explore the initiative’s priority areas, choose a resulting “crew” of interest, and meet with a “crew” in break outs to engage real projects. Crew volunteers will focus on achievement of measurable and meaningful wins aimed at attracting and sustaining a successful, diverse, and inclusive workforce and community.
Highly encouraged to attend this event are CEO’s, executive directors, human resource directors, and other area leadership.
This event is a program of the Comprehensive Countywide Diversity Initiative, which includes the following partners: ADVOCAP, City of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce, Fond du Lac Area United Way, Fond du Lac County, Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation, Fond du Lac Public Library, FdL YMCA, Fond du Lac School District, Marian College, Moraine Park Technical College, Ripon College, Ripon Community Development Corporation, United for Diversity, UW Fond du Lac, and UW-Extension, Fond du Lac County.
