Gov. Jim Doyle has announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has declared a state of disaster for Fond du Lac County. FCEDC will continue to pass along information regarding programs that can assist local businesses.
Federal Disaster Aid: A FEMA recovery center is expected to open in or near Fond du Lac County. For assistance, call or 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or go to http://www.fema.gov/assistance/index.shtm. FEMA disaster aid to businesses is in the form of long-term, low-interest loans administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Detailed information on how to apply for aid is found at: http://www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance/businessesofallsizes/index.html. SBA representatives will be on site at the recovery center also.
